The car centric layout of Rauhehorst, with very narrow, segregated cycleways (Spoke of the wheel around Oldenburg) is from 2003. The terrible crossing on this 50km/h (30mph) road by a primary school was apparently added around arround 2014 (Querungshilfen sind im Rauhehorst (Höhe Grundschule Babenend)). Under the motorway A29, the layout leads cyclists off the pavement and onto a main carriageway cycle lane, which ends on the other side of the motorway under path - see #175756.
