Rauhehorst forms part of the spokes to the wheel around Oldenburg. It features narrow, segregated cycleways Under the motorway A293, the layout leads cyclists off the pavement and onto a main carriageway cycle lane, which ends on the other side of the motorway under path, where cyclists are being led onto a narrow, poorly paved, shared use pavement - see #175757.
As the underpath crossing the motorway A293 next to the railway track at Nedderend has been lost to sound protection walls (#177650), the under path at Rauhehorst needs a counter-flow cycleway.
