[Image taken 11.2.22] Lidl, James Street, York. [NOTE: No streetview this location.] Items that won't fit into the trailer are put into the panniers: also loaded from the side. Note how much space the shopping trolley requires and how close it (necessarily is) to the cycle to enable the person to transfer her purchases into the trailer and the panniers of the cycle. The trailer here is wedged by the rack and the cycle because of the steep slope: cycles slip and fall (see: #166689, #167791), trolleys escape (see: #166691). Note that the person is using the end Sheffield rack. She needs more room for her rig and to load it than the 100cm that is available between the uprights. There was another shopper here when I took these images. She also uses a trailer though did not have it with her on this occasion. I asked her and the person in this image: What is the most important thing you need at cycle parking? Both said: Space. Other image this subject today: #179009 and links
