[Image taken 16.3.22] Bootham Terrace, junction with Bootham, York. This sign has been in this position/at this angle for at least four days. (And continues to be an issue: #181265.) Bootham Terrace is a very busy pedestrian route to/from the river, the station, a school, a residential area... When I asked about the position of works signage on a pavement elsewhere the then contractor replied "Under guidance, signage in the footway must provide a minimum 1 metre access." Why do the people working on Bootham not check it? I'm assuming it is connected to the works for the Scarborough Bridge to Bootham Park cycle route improvements scheme (context and links: #180045). I'll email the company www.2works.uk.com/ whose contact details are on the sign. (That is good practice BUT it is an 0845 number ie chargeable and I can't call those. So not such good practice.) Other images today: #180123 and links.
