Would it be visible in the dark, in bad weather, if your line of sight were obstructed, if your glasses were covered in rain or fogged up? I think you need a confirmatory sign (after this one: #180486) because there's a dead end sign at the entrance to this street - with no reference to exceptions for people on cycles. Context and links: #180483. Plus, look at the damaged rough road surface. This is part of the official diversion for a route that was flat, intuitive, accessible, next to a river, alongside a park. There's is no comparison. The route is not fit for purpose. Along with issues such as the obstructions for pavement users (see: #180489, #180490) the choice of route and the failings of the signage and surfaces undermines the Government's aim for: "Cycling and walking will be the natural first choice for many journeys with half of all journeys in towns and cities being cycled or walked by 2030."
