They are on the edge of the shopping area and very close to numerous cafes, pubs, restaurants... Unsurprisingly they are almost always in use. But they are too close to the kerb. So the cycles are unstable. This means there's reduced space within the uprights for other cycles. It also makes loading and unloading difficult or impossible. It makes lifting a child on/off unsafe. The racks need to be moved out from the kerb six inches or so as per the next tranche along: #180527. Other images today and links: #180522.
