How do you know you are on the National Cycle Network ?
You are signed straight up a steep hill only to come down it again, where the road disappears, replaced by an overgrown track barely one foot wide ( #18195 ), then barriers, a dismount sign and an unnecessary detour.
Why was this bridge sited so far from the path that it supposedly serves ? More to the point, why wasn't the cycle route simply taken down the now bypassed road ?
Why are the designers of these ridiculous "farcilities" so determined that people should not be able to cycle on them ?
