[Image taken 23.4.22] Mill Lane looking towards the junction with Heworth Green, York. As I was taking this image a driver approached. I assumed he was going to turn into offroad parking. A pedestrian on the pavement just ahead of me started waving her arms. I assumed she knew the driver. In fact she realised the person was intending to use the one carriageway that was open but in the 'wrong' direction (south-north). The critical sign - 'road closed' - is on the ground and facing the north-south (permitted) traffic. The driver - likely as a result of the actions of the pedestrian - turned round and headed back the way s/he had come. An information board to report such issues is a must. It is irresponsible of CYC to consistently shirk its responsibilities. Other images this issue today: #181988 and links. Other images around York today: #181968 and links.
