[NOTE: #185679 The bollard protects a 'York' cycle] [Image taken 26.4.22] Deangate, York. The toastrack Sheffields (cycle parking) are too close to the kerb. I took the image for my collection of examples of 'what happens if racks are too close to an upright'. However the end rack supports a notice with the name of the street (useful if you are not local, need to locate yourself and remember where you left your cycle) and a map of the area. The bollard will provide some protection from manoeuvring motor vehicles. Positives and negatives of this location: #180534. Other image here today: #182114. Other images today and links: #182070.
