[Image taken on 9.5.22] Bootham/Bootham Bar, York. This was one of the behaviours the CYC Executive member for Transport wanted evidence of: a driver emerging from Gillygate (see also: #182517, #182518,) on the ‘ahead’ (cyclists into High Petergate) and right (all traffic, including people on cycles) into St Leonard’s Place. It’s a blind corner. Locals hold back when the green filter shows and proceed slowly anticipating motorists emerging from the right and at speed. Visitors and others won’t have this local knowledge and are at risk. Context and links to images from previous visits to this junction: #182461.
