[UPDATE: An image of racks that would expand the existing provision here and provide practical and comfortable parking for longer cycles or the trailers in this image: #184832.] [Image taken 17.5.22] Aldi, Kathryn Avenue, Huntington/York. There are good points about the cycle provision here: #175243 but they are too close together (measurements: #170557). They are also often oversubscribed. As today. Two people (just visible, leaving with loaded cycles) had used the side railing of the trolley park to secure their cycles. A family of two adults and two children with three cycles and two trailers shopping here after the end of the school day filled the available formal space. They were lock sharing. And they told me (as per a quarter of the population of York, 2011 census) they did not have access to a car. Other images today and links: #182641.
