[Image taken 24.5.22] York Hospital, Bridge Lane, York. I understand the flat- and round-topped Sheffields here are intended to be temporary replacement provision for staff. However, none of the racks is in use. A staff member said he couldn't use them because they were locked: #182860. I could not get close enough to see the spacing between the supports or the distance from the compound walls. I can see they are toastracks with linking rails with upstands. The latter can make it difficult or painful for someone to lift a cycle in and out and make a cycle unstable. Other images today context and links: #182794.
