[Image taken 3.6.22] [NOTE: Street view shows a different pork butcher's on this site.] Appleton’s, 46 Market Place, Knaresborough. This small chain of butcher’s (www.appletonsbutchers.co.uk/) had a branch in York until the covid 19 pandemic. We included that outlet (Appleton’s: 19 Lendal) in the stained glass cycling trail we put together for the York Cycle Campaign (yorkcyclecampaign.bike/) during lockdown 2020 (yorkshireridings.blogspot.com/p/york-stained-glass-trail.html). I was pleased to see the Knaresborough shop also has a pig in stained glass over the door. Our group of four bought pies and sausage rolls to eat immediately and sausages and chipolatas, plus curry- and Chinese-flavoured chicken skewers for our BBQ afterwards.
