[UPDATE: 9.7.22. A tall agile friend who could stand on the bollard was able to reangle the righthand sign, at least.] [Image taken 8.7.22] Junction of Wellington Row and North Street, looking into Tanner Row, York. The contraflow cycle lane is frequently fouled by drivers making short and longer stops (example see: #174601). This puts people on cycles at risk - the pavements are too narrow and pedestrians therefore use the carriageway. However, the road is also very narrow and the corners blind. CYC has responded to calls for it to "Do something!" by re-newing the white and yellow lines (compare with an image from October 2021: #175215). The sign on the right at the entrance has been hit - a frequent issue - and is now at an angle. I was not tall enough to bash it straight. I'll report it. People using this contraflow lane need all the help we can get - drivers simply don't seem to see the signage. Other image today: #184218.
