[Image taken 11.7.22] Terry Avenue, York. [NOTE: No street view at this location.] The Millennium bridge is a few hundred metres behind me, the riverside entrance to Rowntree Park, 100m ahead. Not a sight we are used to or want to see. A very hot day yet the leafy, shady, riverside Terry Avenue is deserted. Pre-Clementhorpe floodworks this would have been thronged - with all ages of user and all designs of cycles and modes of active travel. Context: #184488. I hope the wheelchair users will be back soon. And the balance bike users. And those learning to cycle. And everyone who appreciates the motor traffic-free serenity of this special space. Other image today: #184601.
