[Image taken 14.7.22] Clifton Backies, York. [NOTE: No street view at this location. Location approximate.] The Backies is a critical route for many people, year-round, in all weathers on cycles, on foot, with buggies, in mobility scooters, with/in a wheelchair. But the surface is scarred (see: #176677) such that people have come off after their wheels got trapped or momentarily held. And part of it is really overgrown as this image shows. The tall growth includes plants that rip, tear and sting. Compare with this route in winter: #176677. Other image here today: #184756. Other images today and links: #184752.
