[Image taken 19.7.22] York rail station, York. [NOTE: No street view at this location.] The cycle in the lower rack has two locks. The D lock is through the frame and the rack though not through the rear wheel. The cable lock is through the frame and the rear wheel. I don’t think it connects them to the rack. The front wheel is not secured. When I looked at the cycles in the lower racks, most did not have a lock round the front wheel and the rack. This is clearly as access is difficult/impossible. I haven’t seen this mentioned as another ‘Against’ installing two-storey rack designs where the cycles are so close together. The person using this end space has access from the side. For some riders and for some cycles securing them to the rack may not be possible: #184894. Other image here today – top cycle - #184940. Other image here and links: #184938.
