[Image taken 17.7.22] Aldi, Kathryn Avenue, Huntington, York. The location of the Sheffield racks closest to the entrance are this side of the trolley park. There are no dropped kerbs so everyone has to bump/heave their cycle up/down to reach them. Plus they are not easy to get to (see: #184971). Using the railing of the trolley park as shown here is very common. But there is land to the left of this image that could be used for longer, wider cycles and for people who struggle to turn a cycle by 180 degrees. The Sheffields visible are too close together. Thinning them to two means the remaining two would be easier and more comfortable to use. The two taken out could be relocated to create spaces for e-cargo cycles (‘York’ cycles) and/or people with trailers and for people with mobility issues: #184973. Other images this subject today and links: #184970.
