This is the main walking route to Baltic Quays, Newcastle, Gateshead etc. from St James village and the metro station, but there's no dedicated pedestrian crossing here, you have to chance it when the lights change. Extremely dangerous at rush hour and how are people with disabilities meant to cross safely? shockingly bad infrastructure right next to a metro station.
