[Image taken 10.10.22] Bootham, York. Two wheelbenders appeared in the corner of this parklet I think earlier this year. Why were they installed? Aside from the price of the item and the cost of paying someone to fit it, installing substandard infra is not harmless... Firstly, if you did attach something chances are the rest would disappear (as here: #181352) as you can't secure the frame and wheels. Secondly, if people see this sort of provision they can and do assume it's fine and, if this is their remit, install provision like it or not take action when planning standards call for cycle parking and you get something like this and it is considered acceptable.
