[Image taken 20.11.22] Burton Stone Lane, York. Context and links: #187784. I don’t know if it was this driver who activated the VAS. But note the road position of this vehicle. Other image today and links: #187780. MY EXPERIENCE: On 10.2.23 I could see this VAS continually lighting up... from the Sainsbury's on Burton Stone Lane: 500m away. Can a VAS keep a tally of how many times it is triggered? And when? And what speed the vehicle is doing? If not, then they are a waste of money. I haven't seen drivers reducing their speed when they see the sign light up... Only when they worry their vehicles will 'ground' on the speed cushions eg: #188990. Or there's a vehicle coming fast towards them that due to the size of one or both will make the space even tighter.
