No way through here.
Unwelcome new traffic island outside Baldock rail station. When traffic is flowing it forms a nasty pinch point, when traffic is stationary or stop / start queueing as here it prevents cyclists and motorcyclists from passing the queues.
Whether you are going straight on, right or left into the station, this island blocks your way.
Needless to say, drivers can be seen ignoring the right turn ban on a regular basis, and the island does nothing to prevent it.
One last problem is that the island encourages people to cross the road at a very poor point.
At least cyclists have been exempted from the right turn ban, with a little prompting. See the exemption plate under the sign on the left.
