[Image created 2.2.23] This is the data from the 2021 census about access to a car or van. It shows that one quarter of York residents do not have access to a motor vehicle. I believe this stat needs to be known by everyone who works for the council so officers do not make assumptions about how people get around and where they can get to. I would like to see it included in every consultation for which personal mobility is relevant. (I'd also like to see the statement in consultations: "Any changes will take time to be put in place. Please consider your needs and those of your family not only now but in the future.")
