[Image taken 8.2.23] Minster Yard (Deangate end), York. An 'avenue' of warning notices has been installed ahead of an event. [Event underway see: #191130.] This is a shared use (non motorised users) space. I feel it works well usually. (I don't have sight issues and I am usually cycling when I pass along here.) But when there is a wedding in the Minster or other event the throng of pedestrians chokes the area and many or most are not expecting people to be riding (or scooting) through. without the cycle are Sustrans (www.sustrans.org.uk/) fundraisers.
