[Image taken 11.2.23] Micklegate, York. The six Sheffields (see: #177267) have been reduced to four. So four fewer spaces to secure a cycle. Yet Micklegate needs more formal racks not fewer. Other image this subject today: #190980. Other image Micklegate today: #190981. Tiers overview: #164663. The speed of motor traffic was also noticeable. It felt upwards of 20mph. This is a street that ought to be non motorised users only. And the cobbles on the steep incline to/from the junction with George Hudson Street removed. They catch narrower, smaller wheels.
