[Image taken 13.2.23] St Mary’s, York. A family of four - two adults, two children, with an unconnected adult cyclist in hi viz ahead, uses the lights (with its ‘early green’ for cyclists to cross Bootham to head for the motor traffic-free grounds of the former Bootham Park Hospital. It is part of the Scarborough Bridge to Bootham Park cycle route improvements scheme. The youngest rider used the pavement. The group is scattered. But are they safe? Is anyone using this junction on a cycle safe? And pedestrians? Other image (this location) here today and links: #191028.
