[Image taken 22.2.23] Former Bootham Hospital Grounds junction with Bootham, York. The cycle light is orange. However the distance between the white wait line and the carriageway is 8.6m (see: #191027). This means someone could have approached on green and the light started to change as s/he got close to the junction. The route is barred by the white vehicle. I think many users could be caught out and put in danger by the multiple movements authorised by the lights (in addition to pedestrians having no idea there is a route and that people may be exiting from it or cycling towards it. Many users of this junction to and from St Mary's will also try to race the lights. Context and links: #191333.
