[Image taken 28.2.23] Burton Stone Lane (looking south), York. This rider is well lit, very visible, yet as I watched a motorist entered the 'pound' and drove straight at him. The cyclist stopped to talk to me. He said this is his regular route. He is so concerned about this scheme he's written to CYC. He got the same reply I did: It needs to 'bed in'. It's terrifying to witness a driver head straight for someone on a cycle. This was the second such incident I saw in a minute or less. As we talked a resident was returning to her home near us. She said, "Here's another for your collection. I saw a motorist drive to the left of the wands. S/he had to mount the pavement to get through." Other image here today and links: #191523.
