On 12.3.23 I sent a FOI asking: Who can park on Denning's Road access? I included a link to: #190994 to show vehicles parking here.
On 10.3.23 I received a reply:
"Vehicles would only be able to park on the double yellow lines if they are loading and unloading or the vehicles is displaying a Blue Badge. The picture supplied only showed restrictions on one side of the road with no vehicles parked adjacent to the restrictions
Can blue badge holders park here?
Yes Blue Badge Holder would be eligible to park on the restrictions for 3 hours, with the Blue Badge in display in the vehicle.
How far down does CYC land extend? The adopted highway continues the full length to the train track, I have also enclosed a plan to show the extent of adopted highway.
Where is the 'border' and what tells you are crossing from CYC owned land on to private property? There is a fence line between the adopted highway and train track."
I have replied sending the link that is in the caption ie: #183551. This shows there are yellow lines on both sides of Denning's Yard access. I have asked if CYC patrols Denning's Yard access. There is a paying car park 100m away. I asked if the fact people can't see the lines is a defence for parking here and/or for challenging ticket.
Drivers have no sightlines when entering this cul de sac. Non motorised users see it as a people space and safe. They do not look around as the feeling is, This is not somewhere you need to expect motor vehicles.
