[Image taken 14.5.23] Link route between New Lane and the Park & Ride at the LNER Community Stadium, York. [NOTE: No street view at this location] New bollards have been installed. They may have met the minimum standard of the 150cm gap between them (LTN1/20 assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/951074/cycle-infrastructure-design-ltn-1-20.pdf) before the shared use roundels were added but now they don't. They also add in hazards.... They disrupt flow, reduce the usable width of a route... you don't pass right up to them, and impact on families too: #193951. The new route signs do not include distances. They are therefore of limited use. Other image today and links: #193937.
