[Image taken 14.5.23] Goodramgate, York. I was here and facing Bar (ie towards the camera position). There were two cars on the oncoming/opposite lane. Without indicating, the driver of the car behind the blue one visible in this image, crossed to the 'wrong' side of the road, drove a little bit further towards me, then stopped. The driver of the second - blue - vehicle mimicked this. Both cars were now facing the wrong way as per the image. This means, to leave, the drivers would have to continue a bit further in the 'wrong' direction on the 'wrong' carriageway and cross back to the other side. I was able to pass them then stopped to watch what happened next. I think I was also somewhat shocked. People got out of both cars and presumably went and did something nearby. A third driver who came round the corner and found this scene responded to the unsettling and hazardous behaviour by making his/her own rules too: #193963.
