[Image taken 4.7.23] Denning's Yard Access (between Crichton Avenue and the Foss Islands Path), York. I saw today the fence has been repaired. This is disappointing! When coming uphill (towards the camera) the wider gap between the bollard and the missing section (right in image) meant I could keep left and avoid that centre gap. This enabled people to enter the spiral as I was leaving it. Much. Less. Stressful. This worked on a two-wheel cycle with four panniers because I could go right up to the edge of the tarmac and there was room for the luggage to overhang (the grass). This might not have worked for a three-wheeler cycle or mobility scooter due to the rough land/grass between the tarmac and the remains of the fence. Context: #194877. Other images here today: #195703.
