Before the sharp turn where Sparrows Herne becomes Lee Wootten Lane, you can leave the road to join the cycle path besides Nethermayne (the A176).

This seems more sensible to me than turning left moments earlier to get to Nethermaybe via the Kingswood Gym as suggested on some maps
