The City of Cambridge hereby give notice that ... blah blah blah. The effect of this Order will be...
To introduce Car Club parking places for the use of vehicles displaying a permit under the Car Club scheme at the following locations:
"11. In St Philips Road-Romsey ward on it's southern side from a point 15 metres west of the centre line of it's junction with Thoday Street westwards for 5.5 metres"
We need to make sure that the new Car Club parking places will not reduce the newly added cycle parking here.
UPDATE 3 March 2011: we have now received confirmation from the City Council that the car club bays "will not require the removal of the cycle parking. Cycle parking nr to car club vehicles is to be greatly encouraged, as they are complimentary measures."
Good.
