Chicanes and a dismount sign for the shared use path on the bridge over the M45.
This very short section of shared use path alongside the A5 provides a useful dog-leg link between two quiet lanes on route 50.
As evidenced by the tyre tracks on the right, the effect seems to be encourage cyclists to squeeze between the chicane fence and the trunk road rather than dismount and walk along what is otherwise a generously wide path between the trunk road and the bridge parapet.
