Journey Planner Screencast
Here's a low quality screen-cast that was made of the site in 2006. It demonstrates how to plan a route, back then we were jusing Google Maps version 2.

This was previously hosted on Google video (where it had 39 views) who seem to be closing that service now.

(Sorry about the very low quality - I never did get on top of how to configure the screencast software properly.)
