Cycle route sign for:
- Westgate Gardens (turn left, then sharp back right at the next junction a few metres away). Follow the signs for Westgate Gardens to head towards Canterbury West railway station;
- Canterbury High School (turn left, then sharp back right at the next junction a few metres away).
- Great Stour Way (turn left and continue over the bridge. This is then the start of the route.). The Great Stour Way traffic-free riverside cycle route forms part of National Cycle Route 18 and leads to the village Chartham. NCR18 can be further followed to Wye, Ashford, Tenterden, and Royal Tunbridge Wells.

An alternative slightly shorter walking route to Westgate Gardens can be followed by turning right.
