How dare this cyclist break the rules. It's just appalling what they think they can get away with. I mean, it causes so much disruption, anguish, and terror to all those around. And this causes a real danger on the roads. After all those pensioners trying to cross have no chance, and what about, yes, please what about THE CHILDREN. PLEASE WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN! It just makes me sick that as a law-abiding car driver these, well devil people, think they can get away with anything. Of course I speed in the 30 & 40 limits in town, everyone does, I'm still law-abiding. And if the lights go to amber when I'm 50 yards away in town, I do need to accelerate just in case they go red when I'm only 10 yards away. Otherwise I'd have to do an emergency stop and end up in the ASL box. I'm still law-abiding.

Switching off irony mode now....

Seriously, Red Light Jumping shouldn't be condoned. But let's not even try to get near equating the issue with the death and distruction caused by inept, poor, and sometimes dangerous driving. 96% of all pedestrian injuries caused by RLJing is by drivers in cars (CTC report www.ctc.org.uk/resources/Campaigns/1110_Cyclists-behaviour-and-law__4M__brf_rev_.pdf, page 10).
