Ah, someone looks like they've been stopped for RLJ. Of course, it's possibly something completely different, but these lights are known for RLJ across Queens Road.
Cyclists should not jump red lights. However, are these police just waiting to catch RLJ cyclists? Or did they just see it happening as they walked along?
At the moment in Cambridge, police are refusing to police ASL infringements, cyclelane infringements, RLJing cars, or do anything about careless driving (unless someone gets killed, then they want to look for witnesses). Injuries caused by RLJing is 96% by drivers in cars and 4% by people on bikes. ASL infringements are known to cause serious injury. Where's the priority? With a poorly informed media campaign.
