Simply this in "Highway code rule 163".

But it's more like a MGIF. Traffic is slow in front and there's parked vehicles in this villages shopping area. The driver seeks to beat me through the gap, getting dangerously close at speed. Only to turn off the road a few yards later.

Essentially the driver made the choice to risk my safety to save themselves a couple of seconds at most. If the same person had shot a gun a few feet from me, saying it's just for a bit of fun and "well, I did mean to miss you", most people would be outraged. Yet, they did pretty much the same in this clip. And, BTW, more people cycling are killed by drivers than people killed by guns. inferred 150 in 2007 shows 59 in 2007
