This section is always a bit awkward. First the hill past the primary school. I usually have to slow to about 10-12mph but there's always plenty of parked cars so there is not very much space and certainly none to overtake. After the upslope I speed up to around 20mph quite quickly on the downslope towards the roundabout. Again plenty of parked cars so no room for overtaking, but at least the junction at the bottom is very near so no real need. Well, you'd have thought.

This time this driver came up accelerating quickly and revving their engine as soon as they got to the top of the hillock. And then pushed to overtake whilst next to the parked cars within a few dozen yards of the junction. As can be seen it saved all of around half a second on their journey time. Whilst it threatened my life and safety and tried to force me into the parked cars.

At least this is Highway code rule 163.
Overtake only when it is safe and legal to do so. You should give motorcyclists, cyclists and horse riders at least as much room as you would when overtaking a car.

But the completely unnecessary double overtake and threatening use of the car would suggest something along the lines of Careless Driving really should apply here.
