An example of lazy parking.
It's necessary to slow right down as the whole cyclepath is covered. There is some space to the right of the van, but it's in the door zone where the van door could open in front of me. Also, there's a need to look out for people walking out from behind the vehicle.
What is very frustrating is the space to park to the right which would mean that everyone is happy.
Highway Code Rule 240 (backed up in law)
You MUST NOT stop or park on a tram or cycle lane.
