This is a Roman road and designated as worth protecting due to a high level of rare plants and species. To that end, it's got locked gates at all public entrances to stop motor vehicles getting in. It also makes a fantastic quiet, green, lane for walking and riding, getting away from traffic.

However, in the past couple of years, a local house (farm?) has put in a crossing from this route to allow them to drive into their property from the main road rather than the local access from Fulbourn. Since then, and rapidly accelerating in the past 6 months the route has become very badly damaged. The damage is clearly made by 4x4 vehicles not tractors.

I understand the need for the local farm to manage their land, but this is clearly not the source of the issue here.
