It's not easy to see from this photo but this looks like it could be pretty dangerous.
The bricks at the humps along Bateman Street have been subsiding for quite a while. Recently a gap has appeared at the first one. In the past week that has suddenly got a lot wider.
The issue, unlike most potholes, is that this gap gets narrower the deeper it gets. A bicycle tyre going into this is quite likely to slide in until the brick sides grip the wheel. This may well end up in jamming the wheel with potentially very harmful results to anyone on that bike.
I've got fairly wide tyres here, and I slip into it. With narrower tyres I'd suggest the problem gets worse. I just missed this hole, despite it being on the right side of the single lane, as I dislike being anywhere near the parked cars to the left.
I've reported this on www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/transport/roads/reportingafault.htm as fault number NM-45183.
UPDATE 30/05/13: I've just checked and the issue was CLOSED within 24 hours of this report. I've yet to see if anything has happened. The only communication I got was an automated email saying the issue was registered.
UPDATE 31/05/13: I checked the place last night, nothing has happened. I will re-raise this and have added another photo at www.cyclestreets.net/location/49635/
