This is a new development and so should be trying to get the best infrastrcuture possible. It's good that a cyclepaht has been created, but it's only as good as it's weakest point, of which there are many here.

First, the in built failures. The corners round the side route. I'm glad I've got reasonably grippy tyres. I'd hate to try this on a smooth or narrow tyre. The pavement grooves right next to the turn mean it's virtually impossible not to cross them. And I'm going pretty slowly here, just awya that something may shoot out of the side road. Of course, no priority over it either.

Then at the end of the clip, the ridiculous zig-zig through the road crossing. Way to go to make cycling difficult! To cross the second section it requires all riders to turn their head in the opposite direction to where they are going. Even at very, very slow speeds, this is more than awkward.

Finally, a note on how much the road agencies think about this provision. The two signs diverting vehicular traffic almost blocking the entire cyclepath.

Yep, the UK, in all it's wonder is still decades behind a sustainable transport system. This is meant to be the latest development in the cycling capital of the country. It's so badly thought through and supported that it beggars belief.
