I really don't know the legal ramifications here. And would always rather share, of course. It's just that some infra is quite narrow and passing horses in that space is really rather scary!

From the legal perspective, this is not a bridleway, it was a purpose built cyclepath. I know other vehicles are banned.

Nonetheless, always treat others with respect. The horse will have heard you before the rider. This rider has definitely picked a side, so I pick the other. As we get near the Park and Ride, they slow considerably and I spot a shoulder check by the rider. I'm still nto sure the rider knows about me so I hand on. Note, that there is also a farm track onwards and I'm not sure they are not going that way as the local landowner (which would also give some rights of course!). After the second shoulder check, I decide to proceed and feel they're taken care of me as well. They did follow me into the Park and Ride!
