Abandoned cycle.

This bike appeared here on a Sunday morning. I instantly recognized it as an abandoned bike - rear brakes sprung open, loose brake cables, bent mudguard stays, strange yellow paint on part of the front wheel.

I repositioned it out of the way of the footway, parking it on its left pedal in the gutter and left it there all day unlocked into the evening. When it hadn't been claimed I took it in and reported it to the City Rangers.

Eventually I took it to the police, who tell me it can be mine after 28 days. It'll need a bit of work before its rideable, but is otherwise quite a nice quality bike.

Update 13 August 2013: I claimed the bike from the Police Station. Tyres were still inflated and it was just about rideable. They'd checked both databases for any claims, but as there were none the bike is now legally mine - though if the owner does materialize then that is a bit of a grey area - I'm told.
