UPDATE 3 2018 **** Unlike other access points the worn surface here has NOT been replaced with trailflex www.sudstech.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/2017-09-27-11.06.06-min.jpg It's still a little tight for anyone with a mobility aid. Ideally the barriers should be softened by removal of them leaving only a gap that deters motor cars . A section 59 notice should be placed strategically so that police can immediately take action to seize and crush illegal motorcycles ****** UPDATE2 A chicane has been installed here but not too restrictive. UPDATE It is expected that a chicane will be installed here - IT IS HOPED THAT THE DWELL SPACE WILL BE LARGE ENOUGH FOR MOBILTY SCOOTERS, TANDEMS, LARGE PRAMS ETC. in the mean time there is no sign of the feared motorcycle abuse.Broadheath near Altrincham A56 parallel path UPDATE AFTER A 5 1/2 YEAR CAMAPAIGN: Kissing gate on new estate in Broadheath (National Trust land sold off to provide new houses) The result was a very cycle unfriendly estate. Thanks to campaigning and common sense this barrier is now removed but more needs to be done on the estate including "NO MOTORCYCLING SIGNS" and removal of chicanes and addition of dropped kerbs where obviously requied
