For some reason the footbridge only goes over some of the roads and ends in a flight of steps down to an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing across the last one. Lots of hassle for people with buggies and prams on the way to the shopping centre, as well as for those with bikes, plus the unnecessary interaction and potential for conflict between active modes and motor traffic on the slip road.
