In this appalling piece of design, buses have a simple straight crossing of this minor estate access road, whereas cyclists have to join the pavement on the right.
However there are no dropped kerbs on the obvious straight-ahead desire line. See www.cyclestreets.net/location/54467 to see how cyclists who want to head straight have to take a sharp right turn and use a two-stage pedestrian/cycle crossing before returning back onto the road. This is only a year or two old. Simply terrible.
Note also how the blue sign on the right (which relates to an earlier layout) is totally wrong.
